Traditional insurance panels require providers to submit session notes, treatment updates, and mandatory mental health diagnoses that become a permanent part of your medical history. By choosing private-pay care, your therapeutic processing remains completely private, and your care dictates your treatment length—not an insurance claims adjuster.

Yes. If you hold a PPO insurance plan through carriers like Aetna, Cigna, or Blue Shield, your policy likely includes out-of-network behavioral health benefits. On the 1st of every month, our administrative system automatically generates and delivers a Superbill directly to your secure client portal account. A Superbill is an official, specialized medical receipt containing our practice's corporate Employer Identification Number (EIN), Type 2 Group NPI, professional licenses, and standard clinical billing codes. You simply download this PDF and upload it directly to your insurance company's online member portal. Depending on your specific plan, your insurance company will mail a reimbursement check directly to your home, often covering 50% to 80% of your out-of-pocket costs. We highly recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card prior to our first session and asking: "What are my out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits for a doctoral-level provider?"
